Sustainable Farming: Harmony with the Land
Plenty of farms raise crops these days, but how many farms seek to incorporate not just goats or tomatoes …but also oaks and frogs in the scope of their operation? How does one determine where a farm ‘ends’, and where nature ‘begins’? Join us as we learn about the Sustainable Farm at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center and explore introductory concepts of agroecology. Participants will share about their own experiences on farms, and learn about cover crops, seed saving, and more in this interactive session. Marcos Stoltzfus is the Director of Environmental Education Outreach at Merry Lea.
