Oaklawn's 19th Annual Spring Spectacular

Date: May 18, 2018 Time: 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Event Description Oaklawn is pleased to present author, singer and television host Sheila Walsh at the 19th Annual Spring Spectacular! Walsh has sold more than 5 million books, including “Loved Back to Life: How I Found the Courage to Live Free,” which details her struggle with clinical depression, and “In the Middle of the Mess: Strength for this Beautiful, Broken Life,” her most recent book. She’s spoken to more than 5.5 million women across the world, including as a long-time speaker for Women of Faith. Sheila is the co-host of the television show “Life Today,” which airs internationally, and a former co-host of “The 700 Club.” In 1992, after four years co-hosting “The 700 Club,” the popular Christian talk-show, Walsh left the show to admit herself to a psychiatric hospital to deal with not only her depressive feelings but also the death of her father at age 5. Amid a sinking feeling of despair, she prayed for miraculous healing. But it did not come exactly the way she expected. It came one day at a time as God led her through a slow and steady journey of hope and recovery. Walsh will share life-changing insights from her life’s journey and sing at the event which begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 18, at the Lerner Theatre in downtown Elkhart.
