Free workshops and activities for families
Games, prizes and tours part of Everence Youth Savings Week

Area families are invited to join in the activities of Youth Savings Week, which will include educational events, interactive games, drawings and underscore the importance of savings.

The theme is “Fun in the ‘Son’ with faith and finances,” and will run Aug. 8 to 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. A workshop and tour will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Everence Federal Credit Union branch located at 1301 College Avenue, Goshen. Credit union representatives will be on hand to teach financial life skills and how they can be rooted in faith-based principles. This year, Youth Savings Week is based on the Bible verse, John 3:15, that also ties into the “Son” theme.

Families are welcome to drop by anytime during the week for refreshments, giveaways, and to enter a drawing for free prizes. In addition to the youth workshop and tour on Wednesday, children also have the opportunity to express their artistic abilities by drawing on an all-electric 1970 VW Bug.
