Reparative Justice with Indigenous Peoples: The Pursuit of Wholeness
The Indigenous peoples of the Americas experienced widespread devastation as Europeans settled across the landscape. Participants will be guided through a model of repair containing four elements: awareness, lament, reparations and memorialization. The sessions will include Indigenous voices – spoken and written, as well as examples of reparative actions taken by individuals, congregations, and organizations. Luke Gascho retired after serving for 22 years as executive director of Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center.
