Elkhart County Historical Museum
The Elkhart County Historical Museum will be celebrating Archaeology month with a special presentation on Thursday September 24 at 7:00pm. The event is free and open to the public.
The presentation will be an overview of archaeological past of Elkhart County and the state of Indiana. The museum is pleased to host Michele Greenan, Director of Archaeology, for the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites. In this role, Greenan is responsible for the stewardship of some of the most intriguing archaeological materials throughout the state. She also is currently working toward reinventing the exhibits at the Indiana State Museum to reveal the state's 12,000 year (at least) Native American heritage.
This will be a great presentation for anyone interested in archaeology, prehistory, Native American history, the science of history, or how we use objects to learn about the past.
