11th Annual Grief Seminar: Out of the Shadows: Unrecognized Grief
Ryan’s Place, in conjunction with the Goshen College Social Work Program, are hosting their 11th Annual grief seminar, “Out of the Shadows: Unrecognized Grief.” The day-long seminar will be held on Friday September 27, 2013 at Goshen College.
The featured speaker is Regina Shands Stolfus, Assistant Professor of Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies at Goshen College. There will be specialized workshops focusing on work with the Latino community, the school community, juvenile justice system, post traumatic distress disorder, and individuals with memory loss. There will also be a panel discussion. Included in the breakout sessions will be a workshop that will meet the ethics credit required for social workers. CEU’s will be available for funeral home directors, social workers, teachers, law enforcement officers, and marriage and family therapists.
