Everence welcomes Fred Gingerich as new Chief Financial Officer

Financial services and insurance leader brings distinct experience to the organization’s products and services

GOSHEN, Indiana – Everence Financial® is pleased to announce Fred Gingierch as the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. As part of his appointment, he joins the Everence Senior Leadership Team – reporting to the organization’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Ken Hochstetler – as of May 16, 2022.

Gingerich brings two decades of business experience in finance, management and accounting. He joins Everence from Transamerica, where he served as Vice President of Finance and, prior to that, provided initiative oversight of actuarial, accounting, project management, and information technology, health product reporting, and financial planning and analysis teams and functions. Previous work experience includes finance management, financial consulting, and auditing leadership at Spot Trading and UNICARE (a subsidiary of Anthem), and at Ernst & Young where he earned the Certified Public Accountant designation.

At Everence, Gingerich will play an instrumental role in shaping strategy and direction, stewarding the organization’s financial assets through efficient and effective financial operations and risk management, specifically through his oversight of enterprise-wide financial reporting, accounting, actuarial, data security, project management, and technology/data functions.

“Our ongoing financial strength and stability is essential for our organization’s sustainability and, more importantly, our continued ability to walk alongside Everence members and clients on their stewardship journeys,” said Hochstetler. “Fred brings a wealth of financial experience to this role, and I am excited for the ways he will foster and deliver a comprehensive financial vision that will aid in our organizational growth.”

Gingerich earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting (with a minor in Business Information Systems) from Goshen College, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. He is the President of the board for Hillcrest Academy (formerly Iowa Mennonite School) in Kalona, Iowa, and served as a board member and treasurer for the Crowded Closet Thrift Shop in Iowa City, Iowa.
