This camp is focused on introducing youth ages 8–15 to the sport of sailing. The camp teaches a new skill base consisting of nautical terminology, parts of a sail boat, knot tying, teamwork, and on water sailing time. This camp empowers boys and girls to do great things on their own. The camp will offer students meaningful opportunities for building self-confidence and self-discovery while cultivating an appreciation of our natural resources. It brings youth to the outdoors connecting them with nature to measure wind speed and direction and to be aware of weather conditions. Camp meets Monday, June 19–Friday, June 23 at Fidler Pond Park, 1424 Lincolnway East. Ages 13–15: 9 am–12 pm Ages 8–12: 1 pm–4 pm Pre-registration is required at the Goshen Parks & Recreation Office through June 14.
