“Bright Star,” this year’s spring musical at Goshen College, was first produced on Broadway in 2016. It was written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell and was nominated for a Grammy in 2017. In this class, you will learn about the story, the characters, the plot, the music and the production’s journey to the stage. As a part of the 40th Anniversary Season of GC’s Umble Center, share in the production of “Bright Star” by learning to know the show before you go. Visit the stage, share in a “question and answer” time with the directors, and watch the brush-up dress rehearsal. Marcia Yost has directed over 40 musicals. She is currently the Director of Arts at Goshen College.
