MAPLE CITY CHAPEL TO HOST FREE SCREENING OF
“SCREENAGERS: GROWING UP IN THE DIGITAL AGE”

Goshen, Indiana— January 15, 2019 — Maple City Chapel is hosting a free screening of the compelling
documentary, Screenagers: Growing Up In the Digital Age. This event, which will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 7:00 pm in their auditorium at 2015 Lincolnway East in Goshen, is open to parents, teens, educators, community leaders, and anyone that is interested in learning more about the impact digital screen-time has on kids in the long-term. Many people struggle to find the balance in our rapidly increasing digital age. Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston recognized that on average, kids spend 6.5 hours a day looking at screens. She was curious about the implications of this, and about the friction occurring in homes and schools around the issue of negotiating screen time. In Screenagers Dr. Ruston takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, Screenagers reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. More information about Screenagers, including press releases from CNN, The New 2 York Times, The Washington Post, Good Morning America, USA Today, and many more, can be found at https:www.screenagersmovie.com.
Maple City Chapel began in 1971 in downtown Goshen, Indiana as a youth center called Teen Haven.
