Insight Accounting Group's New Hires
Mitch Edy, CPA – Senior Analyst
Mitch was born and raised in Goshen, Indiana. He graduated from Northridge High School and Manchester University with an accounting major and economics minor. Since college, he has spent his time in the public accounting profession specializing in tax filings and audits of the not-for-profit sector and working towards his CPA license, which he obtained in November of 2017. He joined the Insight team in November 2018.
Outside of work, Mitch enjoys spending time on outdoor activities (including exercising, home projects, and disc golf) and spending time with his family, wife, and two rescued dogs, Harper and Howard. He looks forward to the opportunity of continuing to serve the Goshen area and becoming active in the local community.
Jonathan Austin – Analyst
Jonathan was born in Mishawaka and graduated from Mishawaka High School. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University – South Bend in 2018.
He started at Insight as an intern in January 2018 and joined the Insight team as a full time analyst in July of 2018. He enjoys working on a variety of projects from audits to tax returns. He is currently studying to pass the CPA exam and looks forward to learning skills to help local businesses succeed.
He is the father of two wonderful children and when not playing with them he likes to work on his new house or ride his bicycle around town.
Matt Nafziger, CPA – Analyst
Matt joined the Insight team in July of 2018. Prior to working at Insight Matt worked both at a regional accounting firm and in internal accounting at a large local corporation.
Matt was born and raised in Goshen. He graduated from Goshen High School and Goshen College, where he received his B.A. in Accounting.
He is the current Board Treasurer for Michiana MEDA, a local chapter of an international non-profit organization dedicated to economic empowerment and creating business solutions to poverty.
Ashley Burkhart – Administrative Assistant
Ashley was born and raised in Mishawaka and graduated from Penn High School.
She joined Insight in November 2018 and brings with her 18 years in customer service working in the Airline, Finance and Automotive Industries.
When she isn’t spending time with her three girls (ages 16,7,5) in her spare time she loves to travel, read and write.
