Indiana Trust Welcomes Ian Forte and Michelle Thurin to Advisory Services Team
For immediate release (Mishawaka, IN) – David R. Kibbe, JD, President & CEO of Indiana Trust Wealth Management, announces the addition of two executive-level employees, Ian J. Forte, JD, as Vice President, Wealth Advisor, and Michelle Thurin, as Wealth Advisor, Estate Specialist, to the Indiana Trust Advisory Services team.

Ian joined Indiana Trust Wealth Management in November 2021 as Vice President and Wealth Advisor.  Prior to joining Indiana Trust, Ian served as Vice President and Trust Officer in the trust and wealth management division of a regional bank for 5 years.   Ian was also in the private practice of law for more than 17 years, where he served small businesses, individuals, and families in trust, estate, business, real estate and litigation matters.
As a Wealth Advisor, Ian assists clients with complex planning needs, including estate, tax, charitable, retirement, and business succession planning, by building strong personal relationships to understand their unique situations and implement solutions that not only meet their needs but also help define their legacy.
Ian received a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in 1994, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Valparaiso University in 1997.  In support of his community, he serves on the Elkhart County Public Defender Board and as Treasurer of the Elkhart City Bar Association.  Ian is also a member of both the Elkhart County and Michiana Estate Planning Councils.

Michelle A. Thurin
Wealth Advisor, Estate Specialist
Michelle Thurin joined Indiana Trust Wealth Management in November 2021 as a Wealth Advisor and Estate Specialist, with more than seventeen years of combined trust and estate experience, most recently serving as a Trust Officer for a regional bank.  She is also a member of the Indiana Trust Women's Advisory Group, which focuses on wealth management issues unique to women in the present, ever-changing financial environment – including the rise of women in philanthropy.
In her role, Michelle works with clients to help them attain the financial and personal goals that will define their legacies.  She also specializes in the post-death administration of estates and trusts – ensuring that clients’ wishes are carried out in accordance with their estate documents, while providing family members with the utmost level of care throughout the entire process.
Michelle graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and has taken numerous courses through the American Bankers Association.  In the community, she is a member of the Michiana Estate Planning Council and enjoys volunteering with local charitable organizations.
