DESCRIPTION:Wake Up Goshen set for Thursday\, September 15 with Special Guest Morton Marcus\n\n\n\nIn the early 90's\, famed economist Morton Marcus was a guest of the Goshen Chamber for our Annual Meeting.  He spoke on the community\, workforce\, and potential for the area.  We have invited him back to see how far we have come\, what challenges maybe ahead\, and where we might be going.  So join us on Thursday\, September 15th at Greencroft Senior Center at 7:30am for this special update from the syndicated columnist himself\, Morton Marcus.\n\n\n\nMorton J. Marcus is the former director of the Indiana Business Research Center in the Kelley School of Business.  He has been actively involved in local and state economic development efforts since 1970.\n\n\n\nIn addition to teaching economics at Indiana University for 33 years\, Mr. Marcus advised six Indiana governors on taxation and economic development.  None of his advice has been taken. He even has been a consultant to the Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County.  \n\n\n\nMorton writes a popular weekly column for 20+ Indiana newspapers including the Goshen News.  A native of Brooklyn (NY)\, Morton has earned degrees in Economics from Roosevelt University (Chicago)\, Washington University (St. Louis) and the University of California (Los Angeles).
