DESCRIPTION:Hirer Education\n\nIn today's educational environment\, students are focusing more and more on the return on investment and having a job at the end of their college experience. In addition\, technology is changing the hiring process. Verduce will discuss some of these major shifts and how colleges are working with employer partners to help train the candidates employers want to hire. She will include tangible suggestions on how you can create a robust working relationship with your collegiate partners.\n\n \n\nCindy Price Verduce is currently the Director of the Career Center and Regional Career Services at Indiana Tech.  A former student personnel administrator and health care recruiter\, Verduce is passionate about helping students reach their career goals and employers their hiring needs.\n\n \n\nVerduce stays busy on the regional\, state\, and national level and currently sits on the Board of the Northeast Indiana Human Resources Association (NIHRA) as the College Relations Director. She is also the National Co-chair for the Veterans' Affinity Group for the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and the Chair of the Regional Internship Committee for the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership.\n\n \n\nShe holds a master's degree in Education in Student Personnel Services with a cognate in Employee Relations and Personnel from the University of South Carolina.  Verduce received the 2020 Award for Excellence in Student Support and Engagement\, the 2015 Distinguished Career Award from the Career Development Professionals of Indiana and the 2008 Impact Award Outstanding Career Services Professional from the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. In addition\, she received the 2009 DIPIS (Does It Positively Impact Students) Award\, the 2010 Extra Mile Award\, and the 2011 Team Spirit Award\, all from Indiana Tech where Verduce has participated and led numerous university wide initiatives. A master gardener\, she and her husband\, John\, live in Fort Wayne as do their nine children/spouses\, one grandson\, and dog\, Henry.
