SUMMARY:Home Care & Hospice Volunteer Training
DESCRIPTION:Goshen Home Care and Hospice is seeking volunteers to provide comfort\, support and companionship to hospice patients and their families in Elkhart\, LaGrange\, Noble and Kosciusko counties. Anyone 18 years and older may apply. Male volunteers are especially needed. As Goshen Home Care and Hospice is a "We Honor Veterans" service\, veterans are sought who might be willing to help or listen to other veterans. Volunteers are required to take 16 hours of training\, which occurs over the course of two days. Training sessions will run from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Wednesday\, September 20 and Thursday\, September 21 on then second floor of the High Park Building\, 200 High Park Avenue\, Goshen\, IN. A box lunch will be provided. During training hospice volunteers will learn about the following:   Hospice philosophy   Communication skills   Emotional\, spiritual and physical aspects of dying   Family dynamics   Grief
