INOVA Federal CEO meets with President of the United States.
Washington, DC – Dallas Bergl, President and CEO of INOVA Federal, met with President, Donald J. Trump, in our nation’s capital Tuesday. Bergl, along with CUNA President and CEO, Jim Nussle; CUNA Vice Chairman, Maurice Smith; and other credit union officials, met with the president to discuss senate bill S.2155. The bill was developed to promote economic growth, provide regulatory relief, and enhance consumer protections.  This bill currently stands before the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
A consumer advocate and strong activist for the credit union movement, Bergl is attending the Credit Union National Association’s Government Affair’s Conference in Washington D.C. this week.  The CUNA GAC is an event that brings credit union leaders together as advocates for consumers, and serves to remind legislators why credit unions are Americans’ best financial partners.  Bergl also had the opportunity to meet with former Commander in Chief, George W. Bush.
Bergl’s industry service includes the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) Board, Indiana Credit Union League (ICUL) Board, The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Board, CUNA’s World Affairs Committee, CUNA’s Audit Committee, and he chairs ICUL’s Governmental Affairs Committee.  Dallas has also served on NAFCU’s Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Credit Union Centers Board.  “It has been an honor to represent credit unions and their members through a variety of platforms, and I look forward to continuing to serve at this level,” said Bergl.
