This day camp workshop is for parents/guardians and children (ages 6 – 9) who have experienced the death of a
significant person in their life. Parent/guardian attendance is required for your child(ren) to attend; there will be both separate and joint activities during the workshop. It is provided free of charge as a service to our community.
Camp Evergreen Children’s Day Camp Workshop assists campers and parents/guardians in realizing they’re not alone
in their grief and educates them on the grief process and positive ways to cope. Along with opportunities for healing and for sharing about their significant person, campers and parents/guardians have a fun-filled experience.
This camp workshop is run by the Center for Hospice Care bereavement counselors and adult trained volunteers,
some who serve as buddies. Each youth camper has an adult buddy who is paired with them for the day.
Activity volunteers are also trained and they support the camp activities as needed. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Please contact the Life Transition Center at 574-255-1064 or evergreen@cfhcare.org
to request a Camper or Volunteer application or if you have any questions.
