Fiesta Feast to support the Center for Healing & Hope
FIESTA FEAST, annual fundraising dinner to support the Center for Healing & Hope, is Saturday, April 11, 5-7pm at the College Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall, located on Goshen College Campus.
This family friendly event features the signature Puerto Rican meal prepared by Rolling Scones Café, a family owned restaurant located in the Goshen Old Bag Factory. The menu for the meal is Puerto Rican rice & beans, savory pulled pork and chicken, bread, salad and dessert.
Meals will be served from 5-6:30pm. The festive evening will include door prizes, and a short program at 6pm. All tickets are reserved online at CHHclinics.org. Payment can be by check or credit card. Tickets are available until April 6th or sold out. Adults - $25, Child - $10 (12 & under) The meal can be eaten in or carried out.
All proceeds from the event go toward providing medical care and advocacy for those in our community who are in need. Lemonade Day Workshops
Concord Mall Conference Center - Lemonade Day Elkhart County is hosting a FREE workshop at Concord Mall for kids to learn about Lemonade Day. After picking up a backpack, students can participate in a workshop that will focus on: (1) putting a business plan together, reviewing the workbook & explaining how to spend a little, save a little and Share a little; (2) teaching the importance of giving back to your community and how you can make a difference; (3) the value of money, budgeting and learning how to set up a savings account and setting goals for future spending -- like college; (4) building an awesome Lemonade Day stand!

Rain Garden/Rain Barrel Workshop
The Greater Elkhart County Stormwater Partnership will help homeowners install rain gardens and rain barrels in most of Elkhart County. For homeowners who qualify, the program can reimburse up to $250 for rain garden plants and up to $50 per rain barrel (maximum two rain barrels per parcel). This workshop discusses how to install and maintain rain gardens and rain barrels. It will cover the importance of managing stormwater runoff from your home and how you can harness the free water falling from the sky to water your flowers and trees.

Maple City Fest in Celebration of Arbor Day!
A free family festival celebrating Arbor Day with a variety of events, entertainment and music. Activities begin at 5 pm on April 24 and last until about 7 pm. Join us for a spring evening packed full of fun. The event will take place indoors and outdoors at Rieth Interpretive Center, 410 West Plymouth Avenue. All ages welcome. Evening festivities include: ? Food court (food items may be purchased) ? Children?s activities, including interactive booths with crafts and hands-on demonstrations and activities ? The Science 2 Go Bus is a mobile science laboratory designed for grades K - 8. It contains six lab stations and some state-of-the-art technology including a computer for each station. The Science 2 Go bus is operated through a joint effort by Elkhart Community Schools and the not for profit, ETHOS (Encouraging Technology and Hands On Science).
